Starting October 13th, we will implement a new billing process allowing us to activate Supercharger pay per use and idle fees in Italy and Portugal. Applicable prices for every site can be found in the Navigation pin of each Supercharger in the vehicle touchscreen.

All owners will receive an email soon inviting them to edit their payment method and billing details to their Tesla account in order to continue using the Supercharger network. Then, from October 13th, all owners without a payment method – that have accrued PPU or idle fees more than EUR 5 -will be blocked from Supercharging. Please note that this applies to all vehicles irrespective of their Supercharger benefits or referral as idle fees can apply to any vehicle after they have completed charging and the site is more than 50% full.

Owners can edit their payment and billing information from their Tesla Account on our website. Their complete balance of fees and charges from previous sessions is available at any time in their Tesla Account.

How does Tesla bill for Supercharger use?
In Italy and Portugal owners are billed per kWh (kilowatt-hour), which is the most fair and simple computation for exactly what is consumed. In other areas where regulation requires, we bill for the service per minute. All prices include taxes and fees.

Where can I see Supercharger prices? 
All Supercharger pricing can be found in the Navigation pin for that station in the vehicle touchscreen. 

 
Is Supercharging still cheaper than gas? 
Tesla’s goal is to enable freedom of travel for Tesla owners at a fraction of the cost of gasoline or diesel. 

I have free  Supercharger,  how does this affect that? 
Customers with free Supercharger credits or free, unlimited Supercharger vehicles will continue to enjoy these benefits. However, as any other Tesla vehicles, they will be subject to idle when leaving the vehicle connected to the Supercharger once fully charged and the site is more than 50% full. See here.

Where can I see my Supercharger balance?
Your complete balance of fees and charges from previous sessions is available at any time in your Tesla Account.  

How are Supercharging or Idle fees invoiced?
Supercharging or idle fees are invoiced after each Supercharging session to the invoice address saved in your Tesla Account.

How can I add or edit my invoicing details?
Log in to your Tesla Account to add and edit your invoicing details.

How can I see my Supercharging history and retrieve my Supercharging invoices?
You can access your Supercharging history and download your Supercharging invoices under ‘History’ in your Tesla Account.

Is it possible to have my Supercharging fees invoiced on a monthly basis?
Supercharging fees are invoiced after each Supercharging session. It is currently not possible to obtain a monthly Supercharging invoice or one invoice for multiple cars on the same Tesla Account. However, you can download a monthly expense report by selecting a date range under ‘History’ in your Tesla Account.

Is it possible to get a separate invoice for Supercharging and idle fees?
No, all fees associated with a Supercharging session are invoiced together.
